I have made a purchase last year of about 50 garlic heads from a local grower. We have eaten half of that, but I planted the other half in early October. Recently harvested the first crop of sixty plants. This year I hope to plant 130 cloves, which would hopefully make us garlic sufficient for the whole year!

The Garden rocks my world
harvest is finally coming in, beside few ups and downs, I am very happy with the results. I hope to not have to grocery shop for at least one month!

basement makeover
We have been living in this house for almost six years. In that time we have been carrying boxes of stuff, that did not fit anywhere else, to the basement, cutting wood, sanding furniture, storing tiles for three bathrooms, you name it... Making a mess of what was supposed to be MY coldworking area. It is been two long weeks of cleaning up, several trips to the municipal disposal site, but it is finished at last! My new work space. I have no excuse to not want to do the work anymore!
