This project was in the making since my artist residency in Portland in 2006, time flies. I have finally worked up the nerve to cut, grind, drill and polish this amazing glass.
The
Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition is Toronto’s first, largest, and longest
running outdoor art fair – providing fresh art, fresh faces, in the
fresh air since 1961. Attracting an audience of over 100,000 people
annually, and showcasing the work of over 350 artists, the Toronto
Outdoor Art Exhibition prides itself on creating an environment which
gives artists the chance to interact directly with the public in an
informal setting – removing the barriers to access, and dispelling the
formality of a traditional gallery or art fair experience.

I have planted hops this spring, setting them up as a decorative fence. The strain is called "Sterling", the closest North American kind to Czech "Saaz". I will make beer out of these in the fall, I have promised to myself. I got them here, for anyone interested.
most of the perennial edibles survived the witch of a winter and are waking up. Even the blueberry bushes that got ravaged by deer (yes a deer) seem to be recovering.
