Very exited to bring this treasure home!

Every year I find something at the Show. Just the way it is. Elisabeth and Richard Metzger, most amazing prints (engraved and etched) I have seen in a LONG time. Elisabeth will be back at the Spring Show 2011. Be sure to visit and check them out.

...day after...

I am pretty organized and very clean. I like to know where all my tools are and what glass is which, everything has its own designated place on the shelf. It is somehow comforting to just KNOW it is there. Have you ever wondered why is The One of a Kind Show so difficult to do?
Explodes in my studio, that`s why. Every time!
Who the hell is suppose to clean up all this?
So I guess I am just going to close the door and pretend it is not there. Two weeks or so? ... yes!
Merry Christmas.

ISGB Roadtrip : Rochester and back

Cynthia`s micro mosaic: Roadtrip

ISGB conference is always highlight of my summer. This is also a first one I got to drive to.
Beeing a new driver and all...
Went day or so ahead just so I`d get to go to Corning. Well if you drive around Rochester in circles for long enough you will eventually find the way out and south. With the GPS I might add.
The visit was worth it tho. I love Corning.
ISGB was great, it is always so nice to see everyone again. Eastman house was phenomenal, Bead Bazaar kicked ass, Dan and Cynthia at their presentation kicked ass. Leaving sad but inspired, looking forward to the next year.

Back From Muskoka

Home sweet Home.
However The Muskoka Arts And Craft show
is one of the nicest shows I do during the Summer.
It is so nice, it does NOT actually feel like work.
And it did not rain! It always rains in Muskoka...
So thank you everyone for coming out and supporting this great show.
I hope to be back next year.

YOU GO GATOR

Sunday, last day of the show, slept in, got speeding ticket, been hungry most of a day, completely forgot how hard it is sometimes to start a new show in a new location, bought $8! falafel that fell on a ground right after, packed up, got to the car to find my keys locked inside... I know.
Hear me: no CAA? GET ONE!
Thanks to my friend Cathereine I have also learned: there is nothing that a Mary-go-round ride will not fix. Happy Canada day!

RUNAWAY KILN

This actually happened before the winter show, but now I am about to load the kiln again with approximate same amount of work, what a hunting memorey! I still wish I had those beads.
In the anticipation of the coming show...I have to post these before i toss them out. The ramping up kiln runaway on me while batch annealing one hundred and seventy(!) fifteen dollar beads (ten days of work lost). I sure hope I`ll do better this time...
